DOFF system cleans stonework and masonry using high-temperature steam
DOFF system can be used to clean surfaces such as brick, stone, concrete, tiles (glazed and encaustic), wood, faience and terracotta. The pressure on the surface that is being cleaned is very gentle and the volume of the water is low even though the temperature in the system is high.
Dirt or soiling can take many forms: pollutants from industrial or traffic emissions, grime or biological soiling by algae, fungi, bacteria and lichen. It may be that the soiling causes stone deterioration or reduces the permeability of the substrate or it may simply have a detrimental effect on the appearance of the buildings.
The DOFF superheated steam gently removes the unwanted matter without the use of any chemical substance during the cleaning process and prevents re-growth of new spores.
Benefit of DOFF cleaning
DOFF performs a gentle but very effective action. It causes no damage due to the low pressure of steam being used, therefore, it is ideal for cleaning different type of surfaces and historical buildings.
DOFF is environmentally friendly, it does not use any harsh chemicals to clean stonework or masonry as it uses super-heated steam which simply lifts away grime and dirt.
DOFF system is more efficient then Pressure Washing. Whilst the temperature in the system is high, the pressure on the surface being cleaned is very gentle and the volume of water is low. Therefore, the cleaned surface is not saturated and will dry within minutes. Furthermore, it drastically reduces water consumption in the cleaning operations by up to 80%, (a traditional pressure washing system consumes from 600 to 2,000 l / h, while the consumption of water of the steam generator is about 10 l / h).
DOFF system allows to clean areas difficult to reach with traditional methods. Its exclusive design and the range of nozzles allow to target the most stubborn soiling and to clean even the smallest details.
DOFF machine produces low noise, therefore, it can be used in urban locations without intrusion.
